Low Key Sounds was formed in 2014 with Beto Pelle on bass and vocals, Dave Watson on drums and percussion, Martin Chaparro on acoustic guitar and vocals.
Beto and Martin have been playing together for over 10 years in different bands of the Detroit area. Beto’s background in punk and reggae gives Low Key Sounds its unique punchy bass. Martin’s vocals and guitar skills bring some of the latin flavor pushing the band’s unique style.
Dave Watson is a popular Detroit drummer/percussionist who has played with lots of locally known singers and bands in the Southeast Michigan area. His percussionist-like style grooves with latin-based rhythms with an addition of classic rock beats in the mix.
Since its formation, Low Key Sounds members combine their background, musical styles, and taste in an unique and powerful blend of acoustic music. A musical bridge between Argentina and Detroit.
Low Key Sounds has performed at many local venues including Cathay House, Cadieux Cafe, Nancy Whiskey's, El Club, The Token Lounge, Froggy's, First Place Lounge, Majestic Cafe, The Blue Goose, Zeke’s, and The Lumberyard.
